Sculpture
New forms of three dimensional art that uses a wide variety of diverse materials.
Going beyond the confines of traditional sculpting, this concentration aims to draw out the appeal of a wide and diverse variety of materials, and pursue free expression in new forms of three dimensional art. It covers typical sculpting materials such as clay, wood, rock, and metal, but also paper and fiber materials such as felt, and explores optimal approaches for students to express their ideas while emphasizing the sensibilities that accompany the interaction between the hands and the materials. Students are free to either focus on a single material or explore various materials. The concentration develops specialized techniques to freely manipulate materials and cultivates a high degree of expressivity.

First year: Learning how to handle five basic materials
Students deepen their understanding of clay, paper, wood, stone, and metal, the foundations of three-dimensional modeling, and learn the fundamentals of handling them. Meanwhile, they sculpt heads, torsos, etc. with clay, honing their basic modeling ability. While repeatedly making drawings and so forth, students also develop their ability to view three-dimensional objects.
Second year: Experiencing diverse materials and expanding range of expression
In addition to the five basic materials, students gain hands-on experience producing works with various materials such as natural and artificial fibers, refining their depiction and composition abilities. While gaining knowledge of various materials and techniques, students explore their preferences and what they hope to express, and find the materials that suit them.
Third year: Selecting a single material and strengthening specialization
From clay, paper, wood, stone, and metal, students select one material appropriate for their art. They then explore the material in depth and further hone their technical ability to freely create forms. At the same time, they pursue their own original approaches expression through dialogues with themselves and with instructors, gradually determining their direction.
Fourth year: Solidifying one’s core as an artist and conveying messages to society
Students carry out a graduation project representing the culmination of four years of study. The experience of creating work with a high degree of freedom clarifies their positions as artists and becomes a driving force for continued creation of works. In the fourth year, they solidify their artistic core in preparation for conveying messages to society.
立体艺术专业
通过多种多样的素材挑战的新的立体艺术。
本专业的主旨是突破以往雕刻框框所限，发挥各种各样素材之魅力，自由挑战新的立体艺术。除了黏土、木、石、金属外，还会用到纸、毡等的纤维素材，在重视手触碰之时的感觉的同时，探索完美表现自身想法的最佳表现手法。可自由选择深挖一种材料，或是尝试各种各样的材料。这里将培养自由自在使用素材的专业技术，打造高度的表现能力。
<立体艺术专业的教学计划>
第一学年: 学习5种基本素材的使用方法。
“黏土”、“纸”、“木”、“石”和“金属”是立体造型的基本材料，学生将加深对这些素材的理解，学习基本的使用方法。同时，用黏土制作头像、裸体躯干雕像等造型，锻炼基本的造型力，再通过素描等的训练培养对立体的观察力。
第二学年: 体验各种各样的素材，丰富表达方式。
在5种基本材料中，加入天然纤维、化学纤维等各种素材进行实际加工和作品制作，锻炼提高自身的表达能力和造型能力。在了解掌握了各种素材和表达方式的基础上，思考自己的喜好和要表达的内容，寻找适合自己的素材。
第三学年: 选择一种素材，提高专业性。
学生从“黏土”、“纸”、“木”、“石”和“金属”当中选择一种适合自己表达方式的素材进行深入研究，进一步磨炼自己的造型技术使之达到操纵自如的水平。同时学生将通过自问自答以及与导师的沟通交流，摸索自己的表现手法，逐步明确自己的方向性。
第四学年: 构筑作为艺术工作者的核心价值并置其于社会空间｡
学生着手制作集四年之大成的毕业作品。高度自由的创作经验有利于学生明确作为艺术工作者的定位，也将成为学生继续从事创作的原动力。构筑作为艺术工作者的核心价值并置其于社会空间｡
입체아트 전공
다종다양한 소재로 도전하는 새로운 입체아트
기존 조각의 틀을 초월하여 다양한 소재의 매력을 이끌어내, 자유롭고 새로운 공간예술에 도전하는 전공입니다. 점토・나무・돌・금속은 물론 종이와 펠트 등 섬유 소재도 다루며, 손에 닿았을 때의 감각을 소중히 하면서, 자신의 생각을 표현하는 최적의 수법을 모색합니다. 한가지 재료에 깊이 파고드는 것도 본인의 자유이며, 다양한 소재로 영역을 넓히는 것도 본인의 자유입니다. 소재를 자유자재로 다루는 전문적인 기술을 양성하여 뛰어난 표현력을 육성해 나갑니다.
<입체아트 전공 커리큘럼>
1학년: 5가지 기본 소재의 취급 방법을 배운다.
입체 조형의 기본인 ‘점토’, ‘종이’, ‘나무’, ‘돌’, ‘금속’에 대한 이해를 높이고 기본적인 취급 방법을 학습합니다. 동시에 점토로 두상이나 토르소 등을 만들어 기초적인 조형력을 연마합니다. 데생 등을 반복하면서 입체를 보는 눈을 길러 나갑니다.
2학년: 다양한 소재를 체감하고 표현의 폭을 넓힌다.
기본적인 5가지 소재에 더해 천연섬유나 화학섬유 등 다양한 소재를 실제로 가공해 작품을 만들어 표현력과 조형력을 가일층 연마합니다. 다양한 소재와 표현 방법을 알아 나가면서 본인이 좋아하는 것, 표현하고 싶은 것을 발견하고 본인에게 적합한 소재를 찾습니다.
3학년: 하나의 소재를 선택해 전문성을 높인다.
‘점토’, ‘종이’, ‘나무’, ‘돌’, ‘금속’ 중에서 자신의 표현에 적합한 소재를 하나 선택합니다. 소재에 대해 깊이 탐구하고, 자유자재로 형태를 만드는 기술을 더욱 연마합니다. 아울러 자신과의 대화, 교원과의 대화를 통해 나만의 표현을 모색합니다. 자신의 방향성을 조금씩 결정해 나갑니다.
4학년: 작가로서의 정체성을 세우고 사회로 발신한다.
4년간의 집대성이 될 졸업제작을 실시합니다. 자유도가 높은 제작을 경험하는 일은 작가로서의 입지를 명확히 하고 앞으로도 계속 작품을 만들어 나가는 원동력이 되기도 합니다. 한 사람의 작가로서 정체성을 세우고 사회에 발신해 나갑니다.
