Becoming scholars that connect the world and art
To equip students as versatile recipients and communicators of art and culture across borders. That is the mission of this concentration. By studying art -including pop culture – of all different times and places from a multitude of different perspectives, including social, philosophical, historical and visual perspectives, and by stimulating the development of independent thinking and perspectives through the incorporation of overseas research trip and other practical training in conjunction with seminar-based group discussion, we seek to produce globally active art generalists

First year: Developing foundations for learning the arts and culture of the world
The first year is a preparatory stage for becoming a “person of culture” specializing in art. Students learn about a wide range of cultures around the world, shedding conceptions of the normal and taken-for-granted that they have held so far and acquiring the ability to view culture from an objective point of view. They also carry out practical exercises, view exhibitions outside the university, and undergo overseas training with the aim of building understanding of art theory based on actual experience.
Second year: Learning methodologies for deeper understanding of the world
The second year is dedicated to interpreting art from all kinds of perspectives, including social, philosophical, historical, and visual. Students identify the relation of various phenomena to art, and learn a range of research methods to gain a deeper understanding of the world. They also belong to introductory seminars oriented toward future research, engaging with their own areas of interest. As in the first year, they go to see exhibitions outside the university and also have one month of overseas training.
Third year: Finding one’s own unique ways of exploring art
During the third year, students explore their own ways of comprehending the meanings of art. They select two seminars from six fields – Japanese Art History, Western Art History, Science of Color, Representation in Art, Anthropology of Art, and Art and Law – cultivate broader perspectives, and seek and establish their own methodologies.
Fourth year: Finding points of contact with society, summarizing studies and disseminating the results
To decode art requires knowledge of the human beings who have produced works of art throughout history, and of the world in which we live. The fourth year is a year of illuminating art from the perspective of life in the current era. Students summarize what they have learned in a thesis as a culmination of their studies, and disseminate it to the real world.

成为将世界和艺术相连的有教养有文化之人。
习得跨越国界，自在吸收、发扬艺术与文化的力量。这就是本系的使命。通过社 会、思 想、历史、视觉等 各种观点，广泛学习包括流行文化在内的古今东西艺术，同时也藉由海外研习等实践和研讨讨论来培养对于事物的独到观点与思考能力，以打造在国际活跃的全方位艺术人材为目标。
<国际艺术文化专业的教学计划>
第一学年: 为学习世界文化艺术奠定基础。
为把学生培养成为拥有深厚艺术素养的专业人才，第一学年作为准备时期，学生将广泛学习世界各国的文化，摆脱现有的“一般”、“常识”等观念的束缚，培养从客观的角度对文化进行观察的能力。此外，以构筑基于实际体验的艺术理论为目标，进行专业学习、校外展览会鉴赏以及海外培训。
第二学年: 学习了解社会的方法论。
第二学年将从社会、思想、历史和视觉等各种角度来捕捉艺术。寻找各种现象与艺术之间的关联性，学习可以进一步深入了解社会的各种方法。学生针对自己将来可能的研究方向，选择参加相应领域教师担任的研究小组，直面自己关心的主题。和第一学年同样，学生还将到校外参加展览会鉴赏活动、以及为期一个月的海外培训。
第三学年: 寻求自身的探求艺术的方法
在第三学年，学生要摸索如何用自己的方法来解读艺术中所蕴涵的意义。将从“日本美术史”、“西洋美术史”、“色彩学”、“艺术表象”、“艺术人类学”以及“艺术与法律”这六个领域中选修两个研究小组，培养更加广阔的视野，同时不断摸索和确立自己的方法。
第四学年: 洞察艺术与社会的联系，并进行论文发表
解读艺术的过程，就是对源源不断地进行艺术创作的人类本身进行了解的过程，也是一个剖析人类社会的过程。第四学年是学生不断地以生活于现代的自我的视点去解读艺术的一年。学生将集学习研究之大成，以论文的形式公开发表。

국제예술문화 전공
세계와 아트를 잇는 교양인이 된다
본 전공의 사명은 국경을 넘어 예술과 문화를 자유자재로 수용하고 전파하는 역량을 키우는 데 있습니다. 사회, 사상, 역사, 시각 등 다양한 관점에서 대중문화를 포함한 동서고금의 예술을 폭넓게 배우는 동시에 해외 연수 등의 기회와 세미나를 통해 토론을 거듭하면서 독자적인 안목과 사고력을 길러, 국제무대를 누비며 예술 전반을 아우르는 제너럴리스트로 활약할 수 있는 인재를 육성합니다.
<국제예술문화 전공 커리큘럼>
1학년: 세계의 예술·문화를 배우기 위한 기초를 기른다.
1학년은 예술에 특화된 ‘교양인’이 되기 위한 준비 기간입니다. 세계 각국의 문화를 널리 배워서 지금까지 생각해 온 ‘보통’이나 ‘당연’에서 탈피합니다. 객관적인 시각에서 문화를 보는 힘을 기릅니다. 또한 실체험을 토대로 한 아트 이론 구축을 위해 연습이나 대학 외부에서의 전람회 감상, 해외연수도 실시합니다.
2학년: 세상을 알기 위한 방법론을 배운다.
2학년은 사회, 사상, 역사, 시각 등 모든 시점에서 예술을 파악해 나갑니다. 다양한 현상과 예술과의 관련성을 찾아내고, 세상을 더 깊이 알기 위한 다양한 연구방법을 배웁니다. 장래의 연구를 위한 입문적인 세미나에도 소속되어 본인의 관심사를 찾아갑니다. 1학년과 마찬가지로 대학 외부의 전람회도 감상하고, 1개월의 해외연수도 실시합니다.
3학년: 예술을 탐구하기 위한 자신만의 방법을 모색한다.
3학년은 예술이 지닌 의미를 독자적으로 해석할 수 있는 방법을 찾습니다. ‘일본미술사’, ‘서양미술사’, ‘색채학’, ‘예술표상’, ‘예술인류학’, ‘예술과 법’ 등 6개 분야 중 2개의 세미나를 선택하여 더 넓은 시야를 기르고, 자신만의 고유한 방법론을 모색하고 확립해 나갑니다.
4학년: 사회와의 접점을 찾아 그 집대성을 발신한다.
예술의 의미를 이해하는 일은 끊임없이 예술작품을 창조해 온 인간 그 자체를 이해하는 것이며, 인간이 살아가는 세계를 이해하는 것이기도 합니다. 4학년은 1년 동안 현대를 살아가는 자기 나름의 시점에서 예술의 의미를 해명해 나갑니다. 그 집대성을 논문에 담아 사회에 발신합니다.
※해외예술연수와 고미술 연구여행의 여비는 학비에서 충당되며 별도 징수는 없습니다.
