Design Course (2 year)
Aiming to produce creators who can be active across various genres.
This course allows students to learn about design in their own way by choosing from four genres. (1) graphics: study of visual communication centered on print media, (2) media: study of diverse media expression forms including video and animation, (3) textiles proposal of lifestyle, and (4)product: creation of things that enrich lives, such as interior items and illuminations. Students will acquire techniques and expressive ability focused on specialized fields while emphasizing individuality and personal sensibilities, and thus develop into creators who can play an active role in society.
First year, first semester
Students in the Department of Art and Design decide on their area of specialization at the end of the first semester of the first year. To that end, in the first semester students take Foundation classes in which they freely choose from and experience any four of 13 practical skills related to the fields of art and design.
The important point is that at this stage, they can explore fields that they will delve into deeply in the future. In the Introduction to Modeling class taken by students with all concentrations, Department of Art and Design faculty outline approaches to art-making and development of expression based on their actual experiences. Students solidify their understanding of what it means to make art.
<Design Course Curriculum>
First year, second semester: Building fundamental skills and engaging with specialized fields
Students choose the specialized field of design they want to pursue, from among Graphic, Media, Textile, and Product. Students in all fields acquire the basic capabilities such as conceptualization, technical skills, and computer proficiency they will need for future studies, and then take classes in each specialized field, building on the skills they have cultivated.
Second year, first semester: Pursuing specialized fields and further building skills
During the second year, students further hone their specialization. Through extensive hands-on practice, observation and thought, they acquire specialized skills and cultivate the abundant creativity and expressive power that are indispensable for designers. Students explore their own potential while conceiving their graduation projects and post-graduation career paths.
Second year, second semester: Tackling graduation projects with eyes on the future
Looking to the future, students decide on a theme for their graduation projects. They fully apply the creative and expressive power they have cultivated thus far to this project which represents the culmination of two years of study. The goal is to experience the difficulties of creation and overcome them, a process through which they become fully grounded as creators who can play active roles in society.

第一学年上学期
造型学科的学生将在第一学年上学期末决定自己的专业领域。为此，学生将在上学期学习“基础造型”课程，从有关美术和设计领域的13种专业课程中,自由选择4种进行学习。特点是学生可在这一时期摸索到今后自己希望继续深造的领域。此外，在 “造型概论”讲义授课中，美术和设计课程的各位教师将根据实际展示制作就“探讨造型”、“展开到表达”进行解说。学生将对“何谓造型”逐渐形成自己的观点。
<设计课程的教学计划>
第一学年下学期: 掌握基础能力，步入专业领域。
学生从“平面造型”、“多媒体”、“纺织品”和“产品”中选择各自的专业领域。在进入学习专业领域之前，学生可以在年级必修课上掌握构思能力、造型能力以及计算机技能等基础知识。
第二学年上学期: 钻研专业领域，提高技能。
在第二学年，学生将进一步提高专业性。学生将通过大量的实践和考察，掌握专业技能，不断培养设计师所必不可少的丰富的创造能力和表达能力。规划毕业设计方向和毕业后的发展，探求自己的可能性。
第二学年下学期: 审视未来，进行毕业创作。
审视未来，学生各自设定毕业作品主题。运用迄今所培养的构思能力和表达能力，进行毕业创作。本学期的目标在于让学生了解并能够克服创作上的困难，通过实践经验，成为能够活跃于社会的具备创作者素养的人才。
디자인 코스
다양한 장르에서 활약하는 크리에이터를 목표로 한다
4가지 장르에서 저마다의 디자인을 배울 수 있는 코스. 인쇄매체를 중심으로 비주얼커뮤니케이션을 배우는 “그래픽”, 영상 • 애니메이션을 비롯한 다양한 매체표현을 배우는 “미디어”, 라이프 스타일을 제안하는 “텍스타일”, 인테리어 잡화·조명 등 생활을 풍요롭게 하는 사물을 창조하는 “프로덕트”. 개성과 감성을 소중히 하면서 전문분야에 특화된 기술과 표현력을 몸에 익혀, 사회에서 활약하는 크리에이터를 양성합니다.
1학년 전기
조형학과 학생은 1학년 전기가 종료되는 단계에서 각자 전문영역을 결정합니다. 이를 위해 전기에서는 ‘기초조형’을 이수하고 미술과 디자인 영역과 관련된 13가지 실기 중에서 4가지를 자유롭게 선택해 체험합니다.
이 시기에 앞으로 파고들 분야를 모색할 수 있는 것이 포인트입니다. 또한 공통강의 ‘조형개론’에서는 미술과 디자인 코스의 각 교원이 ‘조형으로의 접근’과 ‘표현으로의 전개’에 대해 실체험을 토대로 해설합니다.
학생들은 ‘조형이란 무엇인가’에 대한 개념을 확고히 다져 나갑니다.
<디자인 코스 커리큘럼>
1학년 후기: 기초력을 길러 전문분야에 임한다.
추구하고자 하는 전문분야를 ‘그래픽’, ‘미디어’, ‘텍스타일’, ‘프로덕트’ 중에서 선택합니다. 전문분야를 배우기 위해 필요한 발상력과 조형력, 컴퓨터 스킬 등의 기초력을 전분야 공통으로 배운 뒤 성취한 기초력을 베이스로 각 전문분야의 수업에 임합니다.
2학년 전기: 전문분야를 갈고닦아 스킬을 높인다.
2학년은 가일층 전문성을 높여 나갑니다. 풍부한 실천과 고찰을 통해 전문적인 스킬을 습득하여 디자이너에게 필수적인 창조력과 표현력을 기릅니다. 졸업제작과 졸업 후의 진로를 생각하면서 본인의 가능성을 탐구해 나갑니다.
2학년 후기: 장래를 내다보면서 졸업제작에 도전한다.
장래를 내다보고 졸업제작 테마를 설정합니다. 지금까지의 배운 발상력과 표현력을 구사해 2년간의 집대성에 도전합니다. 여기서의 목표는 창작 행위의 어려움을 알고 극복하는 것입니다. 이러한 경험을 통해 사회에서 활약할 수 있는 크리에이터로서의 소양을 체득합니다.
