Fine Arts Course (2 year)
Developing future professionals acquainted with various forms of expression and possessing strong creative powers for success in society.
Students acquire a solid foundation of knowledge and skills across a variety of different artistic disciplines, including oil painting, Japanese painting, printmaking and the formative arts. In our fine arts course, students naturally have the freedom to go deeper into any one of these areas, or they can elect to thoroughly explore multiple areas in parallel. From academic painting to art installations incorporating various materials and spaces, students cultivate a broad and integrated expressiveness over the course of two years, during which they discover their true passion. Students are also prepared for professional success after graduation, be that as an artist, cartoonist, educator, game creator or any number of different professions.
First year, first semester
Students in the Department of Art and Design decide on their area of specialization at the end of the first semester of the first year. To that end, in the first semester students take Foundation classes in which they freely choose from and experience any four of 13 practical skills related to the fields of art and design.
The important point is that at this stage, they can explore fields that they will delve into deeply in the future. In the Introduction to Modeling class taken by students with all concentrations, Department of Art and Design faculty outline approaches to art-making and development of expression based on their actual experiences. Students solidify their understanding of what it means to make art.

<Fine Arts Course Curriculum>
First year, second semester：Exploring fields to which they are suited while continuing to develop basic capabilities
Studies encompass both two- and three-dimensional media, and involve adopting a humble stance toward the natural world, fostering the power to observe and the power to think, and cultivating compositional ability while interpreting space in terms of both flat surfaces and three-dimensional spaces. In addition to oil painting, students select from among a wide range of media including printmaking, Japanese painting, and sculpture, and seek their own expressive path while acquiring basic techniques.
Second year, first semester：Choosing areas of concentration and heightening their level of specialization
From oil painting, printmaking, Japanese painting, sculpture, woodcarving and other media, they select fields that align with their capabilities and orientation. From academic to interdisciplinary contemporary art styles, they explore expression that transcends the boundaries of genre. While heightening their level of specialization, they are exposed to various styles and explore their own potential.
Second year, second semester：Engaging in self-exploration and elevating the quality of their work
Students utilize the techniques they have acquired thus far. This involves steadily engaging with the self and giving shape to ideas, feelings, and images. Also, they pursue a graduation project as a culmination of two years of study, and determine their post-graduation directions.

美术专业
接触各种艺术表现培养社会需求且富有创造力的优秀人才。
您会在此扎实地学习到油彩、日本画、版画、立体造形等横跨美术各领域的基础知识和技术。这里的美术课程既能选择一项领域专精深造，亦可数个领域并行探究，自由度极高。从学院派的绘画，到使用种种素材和空间的装置艺术，广泛习得综合的表达能力，两年之间，您将发现自我的真正喜好。毕业后，更有升学、艺术家、漫画家、教师、游戏设计师等生涯选项，为社会打造能够在广泛领域活跃的人材。
第一学年上学期
造型学科的学生将在第一学年上学期末决定自己的专业领域。为此，学生将在上学期学习“基础造型”课程，从有关美术和设计领域的13种专业课程中,自由选择4种进行学习。特点是学生可在这一时期摸索到今后自己希望继续深造的领域。此外，在 “造型概论”讲义授课中，美术和设计课程的各位教师将根据实际展示制作就“探讨造型”、“展开到表达”进行解说。学生将对“何谓造型”逐渐形成自己的观点。
<美术课程的教学计划>
第一学年下学期：培养基础能力，探索自我。
学生将跨领域学习平面和立体。以谦虚的态度面对大自然，培养“观察的眼睛”和“思考的眼睛”，在捕捉“作为平面或立体的空间”的同时培养构图能力。学生除了油画以外，还可选择版画、日本画或雕塑等广泛的表达领域，在掌握基础技能的同时，摸索自己的表达方式。
第二学年上学期：选择专业领域，提高专业性。
学生从油画、版画、日本画、塑造和木雕等艺术手法中，选择适合自己的表达方法。学生可从具有学术性的表现手法到跨领域的当代艺术手法中，摸索跨界的表达方法。学生在提高专业性的同时接触多种多样的艺术手法，探索自己的可能性。
第二学年下学期：面对自我，提高作品质量。
学生将运用迄今为止掌握的表达方式进行制作。直面自我，把自己的思考、感情和想像制作成形。此外，学生将集两年之大成进行毕业作品制作，并决定毕业后的发展方向。
미술 코스
다양한 표현을 통해, 사회가 인정하는, 창조력 풍부한 인재를 육성한다
유채, 일본화, 판화, 입체조형 등 미술의 다양한 분야를 접하며, 기초적인 지식과 기술을 확실히 습득합니다. 미술 코스는 그중에서 한 가지를 집중적으로 파고드는 것은 물론 여러 가지를 병행하며 깊이 연구할 수 있는 높은 자유도를 자랑합니다. 학생들은 아카데믹한 회화에서 다양한 소재와 공간을 활용한 설치미술에 이르기까지 다면적이고 종합적인 표현력을 기르며 2년 동안 자신이 ‘정말 좋아하는 것’을 발견합니다. 졸업후에도 진학, 예술가, 만화가, 교원, 게임창작자 등 폭넓은 분야에서 활약할 수 있는 인재를 육성합니다.
1학년 전기
조형학과 학생은 1학년 전기가 종료되는 단계에서 각자 전문영역을 결정합니다. 이를 위해 전기에서는 ‘기초조형’을 이수하고 미술과 디자인 영역과 관련된 13가지 실기 중에서 4가지를 자유롭게 선택해 체험합니다.
이 시기에 앞으로 파고들 분야를 모색할 수 있는 것이 포인트입니다. 또한 공통강의 ‘조형개론’에서는 미술과 디자인 코스의 각 교원이 ‘조형으로의 접근’과 ‘표현으로의 전개’에 대해 실체험을 토대로 해설합니다.
학생들은 ‘조형이란 무엇인가’에 대한 개념을 확고히 다져 나갑니다.
<미술 코스 커리큘럼>
1학년 후기：기초력을 기르면서 본인의 적성을 파악한다.
평면과 입체를 종합적으로 배웁니다. 겸허한 자세로 자연과 마주하여 ‘관찰하는 눈’과 ‘사고하는 눈’을 키우고 ‘평면·입체로서의 공간’을 파악하면서 구성력을 기릅니다. 유채화 외에 판화, 일본화, 조소 등 폭넓은 표현영역을 선택해 기초력을 기르면서 자신만의 표현을 모색합니다.
2학년 전기：전문영역을 정해 전문성을 높인다.
유채, 판화, 일본화, 소조, 목조 등에서 자신에게 맞는 표현방법을 선택합니다. 아카데믹한 표현에서부터 영역을 넘나드는 컨템포러리까지 장르를 초월한 표현을 모색할 수 있습니다. 전문성을 높이면서 다양한 표현을 경험한 뒤 본인의 가능성을 파악합니다.
2학년 후기：자기 자신의 힘으로 작품의 질을 높인다.
지금까지 터득한 표현방법을 살려 제작을 실시합니다. 차분히 자기 자신을 성찰하면서 자신의 사고와 감정, 이미지를 형태로 만들어 나갑니다. 또한 2년간의 집대성으로서 졸업제작에 도전하여 졸업 후의 방향을 명확히 합니다.
