The Common Subjects of the Departments consist of two groups.
Group A~C: To cultivate broad and deep knowledge, comprehensive judgment, and a rich personality.
Group D~E: To acquire the basic knowledge and abilities in the field of Art.
Group A: a group of subjects to enhance intelligence and sensibility
This is a group of subjects that enhances intelligence and sensibility, through learning the relation between people and culture, the structure of society, science, and nature.

Group B: A group of subjects to enhance their communication skill
This is a group of subjects that enhances the communication skill and the language skill, through learning about different cultures and the computer.

Group C: A group of subjects to improve mental and physical health
This is a group of subjects that nurture basic physical fitness through exercise, learn the functions of the body and the relationship between mind and body, and improve health management skills to live a healthy life throughout life.

Group D: A group of subjects of Art and Culture
In this group of subjects, students can acquire the basic knowledge and ability which are adaptable to the field of each expertise, including the history of Art, Colours, Materials, and so on.

Group E: A group of subjects to review yourself and to open the view toward the society
In this group of subjects, students can acquire the ability to design the way women should be in the society, the international sense of expressing art in different cultures, and the future (career).

Basic Learning Seminar (Freshman, Introduced Education)
Thinking about the meaning of learning in the university from an early period makes a student’s life richer. In the first semester of the first year, some contents, such as “History and Spirits of Joshibi,” “Information Literacy”, “Intellectual Property Literacy”, and “The Way to Study by Reading, Listening, and Writing”, the students acquire the way to learn.

公共选修课
培养多视角能力
文化和知识的储备是学习艺术时必不可少的，也是在个人成长以及自我专业提升时所必需的。
本科的公共选修课是由A～C群和D～E群课程组成，前者拓展文化知识、培养综合判断力和丰富人格内涵，后者旨在掌握艺术领域的基本知识和能力。
A群：提升自我修养和感性素养
广泛学习人类和文化、社会运作、科学和自然的相关知识，提升自我修养和感性素养。
B群：提升沟通能力
提高语言能力、了解异文化、掌握计算机技能、提升沟通能力。
C群：提高身心健康
通过身体锻炼提高基础体能，学习身体机能、心理和身体的关联性，提高健康管理技能，以实现终身健康生活。
D群：文化与艺术
在美学和美术史、色彩、素材以及绘画等相关科目学习中，掌握所在专业领域所需的基础知识和运用能力。
E群：审视自我、放眼社会
探寻女性在社会中的价值，扩展在异文化环境中的艺术表现的国际化视野，磨练规划自我未来职业的能力。
基础学习研讨课（一年级、入门教育）
从早期阶段开始考虑大学学习的意义，让大学生活能够更加充实。在一年级的第一学期，通过 “女子美的历史与理念”、”信息素养”、”知识产权素养 “和 “阅读、听力和写作的学习方法 “等课程，掌握学习方法。
공통 과목
여러 가지 관점을 몸에 익히다
예술을 배우는데 있어서 그 기초가 되는 교양과 지식은 한 인간으로서 크게 성장하고 각자의 전문의 정점을 한층 끌어올리는 데 필요한 것입니다. 학부 공통 과목은 폭넓고 깊은 교양 및 종합적인 판단력, 풍부한 인간성을 함양하는 A~C군, 예술학 분야의 기초적인 지식과 능력의 습득을 목적으로 하는 D~E군으로 구성되어 있습니다.
A군 : 지성과 감성을 향상시키는 과목군
인간과 문화, 사회 구조, 과학과 자연에 대해 폭넓게 배우고 지성과 감성을 향상시키는 과목군입니다.

C군: 마음과 신체의 건강을 향상시키는 과목군
운동을 통해서 기초 체력을 기르는 신체의 기능 및 마음과 신체의 관련성을 배우고, 평생 건강한 생활을 유지할 수 있는 건강 관리 능력을 키우는 과목군입니다.

기초 학습 세미나(초년도. 도입 교육)
입학 직후부터 대학에서의 배움의 의의를 생각함으로써 학생 생활을 보다 충실하게 합니다. 1학년 1학기에 “조시비의 역사와 이념”, “정보 리터러시”, “지적 재산 활용 능력”, “읽기· 듣기·쓰기의 학습법” 등 대학에서의 배움의 방법을 몸에 익힙니다.
