Anniversary of the Founding of Joshibi University of Art and Design Educational Corporation Held

On October 30, the anniversary of the university’s founding, the “Foundation Anniversary Festival” was held at the Suginami Campus to honour the achievements of the founders and to hand down their names for a long time to come.

President Yuji Fukushita, President Fumiko Ogura, and Principal Yasuko Ishikawa laid flowers at the bronze statues of Professor Tamako Yokoi, Professor Shizu Sato, and Professor Tatsujiro Sato. After the wreath offering, Mr Yuji Fukushita, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and Mr Yasuhiko Sato, a relative of the founder, gave greetings.

Since 122 years ago, on October 30, 1900, 14 new students aspiring to become art students had been welcomed to the school building in Yumimachi, Hongo Ward, Tokyo, the number of students has increased, and there are around 4,000 students now. Even today, they take over the founding spirits.

学校法人女子美术大学2022年度建校纪念活动顺利举办

10月30日是本校建校纪念日，为表彰创始人功绩，以永其传，在杉并校区举办了建校纪念活动。

福下雄二理事长、小仓文子校长和石川康子附属中学校长等人分别在横井玉子、佐藤志津和佐藤达次郎的铜像前进行了献花。之后，由福下雄二理事长和创始人子孙的佐藤泰彦进行了致辞。

122年前的1900年10月30日，东京市本乡区弓町的校舍迎来了美术新生14名。现在于东京都杉并区及神奈川县相模原市的两个校区共有4000多女子美学生和附属中学生，建学精神代代相传。

2022년도 학교법인 조시비 미술대학 창립기념제가 개최되었습니다

본교의 창립 기념일인 10월 30일에 창립자의 공적을 기리고 그 이름을 대대로 이어나가기 위한 「창립 기념제」가 스기나미 캠퍼스에서 개최되었습니다.

후쿠시타 유지 이사장을 비롯해 오구라 후미코 학장, 이시카와 야스코 교장 등이 요코이 다마코 선생님, 사토 시즈 선생님, 사토 타츠지로 선생님의 동상에 각각 헌화를 하였습니다. 헌화 후에는 후쿠시타 유지 이사장과 창립자의 친척인 사토 야스히코 님께서 인사말씀을 해주셨습니다.

122년전의 1900년 10월 30일, 미술에 뜻을 둔 신입생 14명을 맞이한 도쿄시 혼고구 유미마치의 교사에서 시작하여, 현재는 도쿄도 스기나미구 및 카나가와현 사가미하라시의 각각의 캠퍼스에서 약 4,000명에 이르는 조시비 미술대생과 부속중고교 학생들이 오늘도 건학의 정신을 계승해나가고 있습니다.
